I must say, I'm thrilled that I got a chance to interview Emma Simmons! I've been following her on Instagram for quite some time now, and have ALWAYS loved her work! She really captures what it's like to live the stereotypical "island life". She basically lives on the beach in a swim suit, and you can really tell she loves what she does. And get this, she owns over 200 swimsuits! WHAT?! I barely own 3 :'(! Check out the interview below to learn a bit more about Emma, and be sure to check her out on Instagram!

Getting to know you:
OTC: What’s your name?
E: Emma Victoria Simmons.
OTC: What’s your favorite color and why?
E: My favorite color is any shade of blue because I’m in love with the ocean.
OTC: What’s your favorite kind of food?
E: I have too many favorite kinds of food! Number one would be sushi, and two would be anything with avocado. Anyone who knows me is aware of my guacamole obsession! I could go on forever about my favorite foods haha!
OTC: Where did you get your favorite swimsuit from?
E: That is such a hard question because my bikini collection is out of hand! Last time I counted and sorted them out, I counted 200 + bikinis… I really love the brand Triangl swimwear, or Gypsea Swimwear though.
OTC: Are you signed to a modeling agency?
E: I am currently not signed to an agency, but I would like to be in the future!
OTC: Where are you from originally?
E: I was born and raised in the Bahamas, but my mom is from Lithuania. My dad was born here as well. I’m Bahamian/Lithuainian ;)
OTC: How often do you travel the different islands of The Bahamas?
E: I travel to the other islands of the Bahamas about every other month! Usually because of my dad’s job. Being a salvage master, he gets called out to sea to salvage in distress vessels all over the Bahamas, and I always like to go with him. It’s always an adventure! In a couple of days I'm going to Abaco with my dad to patch a yacht that ran aground.
OTC: Are there any islands you haven’t visited yet that you would like to visit in the near future?
E: I would like to go the the Exumas so I can feed the iguanas there and swim with the piggies. My favorite island that I have been to is the Berry Islands. It is such a tiny island and people have such a different way of living there than the island I’m from. The beaches are the prettiest I’ve ever seen!
OTC: What’s your favorite country that you’ve visited?
E: My favorite country that I have been to would have to be Lithuania. My grandmother lives there on the country side, and it is absolutely beautiful!
OTC: If you could travel anywhere in the world for free, where would be the first place you go?
E: If I could travel anywhere for free, I think the first place I would go is Thailand. It just looks so surreal with all the wild life, like the monkeys running around on the beach, and I’d love to ride an elephant. I want to go everywhere and record my adventures and make crazy amazing videos. One day for sure.
OTC: Describe your dream vacation:
E: My dream vacation would be backpacking and waking up somewhere new every week. I’d want to be doing something adventurous and just a little dangerous everywhere I go.
OTC: What inspired you to stick with these kinds of photos on Instagram?
E: I’m rarely not in a bikini. I will be at the beach and my friends will take a couple photos of me that I would end up posting, or photographers on the island would take my photos. My main photographer is actually my dad’s girlfriend, @bahamasphotographer - She got into photography and began taking photos of me in the brands I represent.
OTC: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to get the perfect shot?
E: The craziest thing I’ve ever done for a shot? Probably trying to swim and take photos underwater in a 50-pound-when-wet, fluffy wedding dress, trying my hardest to stay afloat and not drown.
OTC: What’s your favorite part about The Bahamas?
E: My favorite part of the Bahamas is the luxury of being able to be a beach bum, sitting in the sun all day long!
OTC: What’s your favorite Instagram filter?
E: I don’t ever use Instagram filters. In fact, I’m not a fan of them. I am pro-VSCO cam all the way. Almost every photo I post on Instagram goes through this app. It makes my photos look more artistic I think. Vintage and islandy.
OTC: Tell me about your workout routine:
E: My workout routine is doing squats and some sit ups. I also try to eat healthy.
OTC: How do you spend your weekends?
E: I spend my weekends at the beach with friends - we like to make bonfires and chill with some good music.
OTC: Are you single? If not, who’s the lucky guy?
E: I am single.
OTC: Describe the perfect first date:
E: The perfect date for me would be going to the beach at night, sitting by a fire, eating food and then maybe just driving around with loud music.
OTC: Describe your perfect man:
E: My perfect man would have to be someone I never got bored around - we would always be doing something adventurous, and end up somewhere unexpected. I also love someone who can make me laugh so hard I get an ab workout while crying!
This or that:
OTC: New York or Los Angeles?
E: I’d have to say neither. Career wise, maybe, if I end up seriously pursuing modeling, but I love the island life.
OTC: Pizza or Ice Cream?
E: Ice cream - anything with caramel.
OTC: Snapchat or Instagram?
E: Snapchat and Instagram??? I love them both tooo much. Ps: My snapchat is emmavsimmons ;)
OTC: Bungee Jumping or Sky Diving?
E: Sky diving for sure. When I go to Hawaii, it’s definitely happening.
OTC: Yachts or Jet Skis?
E: Yachts. Yachts usually have jetskiis on them ;)
OTC: Where can people find you?
E: You can find me on:
