Why Software Engineering?

After owning my own photography business for 4+ years, I found myself still searching for something that would challenge my analytical skills. As the world started to slow down in 2020, I took it upon myself to continue my education, and completed a coding bootcamp. This is where I found exactly what I’ve been looking for; something that challenges both my creative skills through front end development, and my analytical skills through problem solving.

Goals?

After becoming versed in MERN, Python, and Java - I realized that I want to do more front-end-focused work. My dream would be to one day become an experienced UI/UX Developer/Designer in either the travel, gaming, AR/VR, or artificial intelligence industries. I am currently continuing my education through Google’s UI/UX certification course, self-teaching myself new languages/frameworks such as React Native through personal projects, and completing LeetCode algorithms daily.

Besides Coding?

I currently bartend on the weekends, so naturally I find myself ‘scoping out the competition’ by exploring new bars here in Seattle. There’s nothing more I love than meeting new friends along the way! I’ve also recently rediscovered my love for pool, so I’m always looking for a new table to play on. Play sometime?
