Bella Reitze

So, funny story about this interview. Bella's mother followed me on Instagram a while back, and her page is filled with photos of Bella. I actually thought that her mother was actually Bella, and kept sliding in her DMs trying to get an interview. It wasn't until maybe a month or two after she followed me that I realized it wasn't actually Bella's account, and I was hella embarrassed! I followed Bella's account, told her the story, and we shared a quick laugh before she agreed to do this interview with me. I've been sitting on this interview for quite some time, but I finally think it's the right time to introduce Bella! Check out the interview below:

OTC: What is your name?

BR: Bella Reitze

OTC: How old are you?

BR: 17 years old

OTC: How tall are you?

BR: 5'10

OTC: How did you get into modeling?

BR: I went into Habit Burger and one of the models/scouts from my agency asked if I wanted to go in and check it out, so it was really just something I got in to randomly but ended up loving it!

OTC: If you didn’t model, what would you be doing instead?

BR: I would probably be playing volleyball or some other sport. I've always wanted to try it, I just never have the time.

OTC: What would you change about your personality & look?

BR: I would definitely change how shy I am. I'm probably the most awkward person ever. Looks-wise, if I could change anything I think I'd wanna be more edgy. I like that look.

OTC: Where are you from originally?

BR: I'm originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida but I've grown up all around. I moved to South Carolina, and then Denver when I was younger then back to Florida for a while and I ended up in San Diego.

OTC: Do people often assume you’re from somewhere you’re not?

BR: Usually people just assume I'm from California if they don't ask. I think I just blend in with everyone else.

OTC: Do you travel a lot?

BR: I travel every summer usually somewhere tropical, but my family is from England so whenever we travel out the country it's mostly to Europe.

OTC: Where, that you’ve visited, is your favorite country?

BR: Definitely England. It's so different to America I love seeing new things and actually experiencing cold winters.

OTC: Where would you love to visit, and what would you do there?

BR: I'd love to visit Greece. I used to go a lot to visit my grandma but haven't been in years. I'd definitely go to the beach if I went. That's one of the places I want to travel to next.

OTC: What is the one place in the world you wish you lived in?

BR: I wish I lived in New York. I really like the city feel and I've never been. San Diego has the city just not as great as New York’s so that's definitely somewhere on my bucket list.

OTC: Where is the one place in the world you feel safe?

BR: Anywhere where my family is. I'm terrified of the feeling of having to do things or go places on my own. I'll probably get used to it but until then I feel safest wherever my family is. Or my bed.

OTC: What is the one thing you want to experience before you die?

BR: I wanna skydive. It looks absolutely terrifying but it's something I wanna be able to say I've done.

OTC: Describe your dream vacation

BR: My dream vacation is just somewhere on a nice beach with clear blue water and just relaxing. There's nothing better than being at the beach and not having to do anything.

OTC: Are you close with your family?

BR: I've always been really close with my family especially my mom and my sister

OTC: What does “beauty” mean to you?

BR: To me it means who you are. Everyone really shows beauty in their own way. I think it's kinda shown through personality not necessarily looks. Personality to me overlooks beauty and looks by everything.

OTC: Do you read all of your Instagram comments?

BR: I usually read all of them, and I try to respond to them a lot of the time, but I get pretty lazy sometimes.

OTC: Being called “beautiful” or “gorgeous” countless times in one day, does it still hurt reading one mean comment?

BR: I don't really pay attention to mean comments. Usually I either delete them or ignore them. It used to get to me a lot, but it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of you if what you're doing makes you happy.

OTC: What’s your opinion on Instagram forcing women to censor their nipples?

BR: I think it's pretty lame. People express themselves in millions of different ways and each Instagram is different. I think people can't handle people's personalities and that's extremely lame. What's posted on each profile should be by choice.

OTC: Which makeup product couldn’t you live without?

BR: I definitely can't live without mascara. I feel like I look like a completely different person without it on.

OTC: If you were stuck on an island, which 5 items would you NEED to have with you?

BR: My phone, a magazine, a hammock, probably a spear for protection and maybe a box of cheez-itz.

OTC: Who is your favorite model and why?

BR: My favorite model is Cara Delevingne! I'm absolutely in love with her. She’s super carefree and just has a really simple style and cool tattoos. I've followed her career for as long as I can remember. I definitely look up to her as a model.

OTC: Who is your favorite photographer and why?

BR: Out of the photographers I’m familiar with on Instagram, I think my favorite at the moment is Alvin Nguyen's. He does really amazing beach and lifestyle shots but they're not like other photography.

OTC: Which photographer would you like to shoot with most and why?

BR: Probably Alvin Nguyen. His pictures are really simple but super different at the same time. I know a couple models he's worked with, and he's definitely on the list of photographers I'd like to work with in the future.

OTC: What’s your favorite song at the moment?

BR: I'm pretty in to EDM or just kinda up beat music, and find myself listening to Martin Garrix’s song In The Name Of Love. It's super catchy! All his music is really good, but this is definitely my top favorite.

OTC: What kind of music do you mostly listen to?

BR: I usually listen to anything. I find myself listening to more EDM or rap kind of music but I can listen to anything. I'm not too picky.

OTC: What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

BR: Check all my social media. I'm pretty addicted to my phone so the first thing I do every morning is just check all my apps like Instagram, Twitter and snapchat.

OTC: What is something you have tried, but will never do again?

BR: Probably extreme golf carting. I've been flung out of them and been pretty close to running them in to a lake so I think I should stay away from that!

OTC: What quirky habit do you have?

BR: I ALWAYS bite my nails even when I don't know it. I always try to stay away from doing it but I never notice.

OTC: Who is your best friend?

BR: I have a couple close friends at my school and a lot that I left behind when I moved from Florida. At the moment probably my little group of friends Elise, Hannah, and Lauren.

OTC: What is the one thing you did in your past you wish you could undo?

BR: I think not take things as seriously at school when I first started. When I moved to California it was sort of a shock because academics are taken way more seriously

OTC: What is your biggest fear?

BR: My biggest fear has to be falling from high things. I'm not afraid of heights but when it comes to almost falling off of tall things like cliffs or roller coasters, I get pretty freaked out.

OTC: Would you rather be loved or have a lot of money?

BR: I'd rather be loved. Money does a lot, but nothing compares to having people love you and feeling loved.

OTC: What is the happiest memory from your childhood?

BR: Going to Greece to visit my grandparents

OTC: What is the most embarrassing moment of your life?

BR: My class was getting a lecture about being too rowdy and loud and I burped the loudest burp I've ever heard come out of my mouth. my teacher wasn't too happy and i got pretty weird looks afterwards.

OTC: Who has influenced you the most in your life?

BR: My mom had definitely influenced me the most. She's taught me basically everything I need to know. I probably wouldn't be where I am or who I am without her help.

OTC: What is something you used to do as a child that you wish you could still do?

BR: Take naps all the time. I try to take a nap when I get home every day but I never have the time. Naps are definitely necessary.

OTC: What is the one movie that influenced your life the most?

BR: I'm not really sure. I just recently saw Suicide Squad and I love Harley Quinn. Her character played a super fearless role and she was just really carefree but still cared about what mattered to her, so I think that was pretty influential but as a whole I'm not really sure if I've been influenced by a movie too much since I always watch pretty weird movies.

OTC: Describe your diet and workout routine

BR: I stick to three meals a day and workout every other day with indoor cardio and a cool down run right after. It seems to be most successful for me so I've stuck with that for a while.

OTC: Are you an early bird or a night owl?

BR: Night owl. I usually sleep until around 11-12pm and don't sleep until 2-3 am

OTC: Which question do you hate answering?

BR: “Where do you plan on going to college" I'm the most indecisive person ever when it comes to what will happen in the future. I like to just go with the flow.

OTC: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

BR: I see myself successfully graduating the college I'm attending, and continuing modeling as my career.

OTC: Professionally, what’s your goal?

BR: I plan on going to college after I graduate high school, but I want to continue modeling as my career for as long as I can.

OTC: What is your ultimate goal in life?

BR: Just to be successful in what I'm doing and be happy while I'm doing it

OTC: What advice would you give your younger self?

BR: To take life seriously but still have fun along the way

OTC: How do you take the perfect selfie?

BR: I always take selfies in front of my my big window. Lighting is definitely key to a good selfie. I also make sure my hair is looking good too. You can't have messy hair and great lighting.

OTC: What’s your go-to Snapchat filter?

BR: Always the puppy filter!

OTC: What do you do when you’re Off The Clock?

BR: Usually sleep or hangout with my friends and just go to the beach or movies.

OTC: Would you rather model swimsuits or lingerie?

BR: I think I'd rather model swimsuits. I know more bathing suit brands than lingerie.

BR: Victoria's Secret

BR: No tattoos at the moment

OTC: If you had 3 wishes, what would you wish for?

BR: A successful life, a happy life, and to stay young forever

OTC: Cats or dogs? Why?

BR: Dogs. I feel like all cats are the same and dogs are more playful

OTC: If you had to wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would you wear?

BR: Probably a pair of skinny ripped black jeans and a white t-shirt. Super plain.

OTC: Are you single?

BR: Not at the moment

OTC: Describe your dream man

BR: Someone who's funny and not too in to themselves. I like someone with a cool personality and knows how to treat a girl and can have fun but also take things seriously at the same time.

OTC: Describe your perfect first date

BR: I'm really easy to please. I'd be fine with a day at the beach or maybe going hiking. I'm not really picky, I have fun with whatever!

OTC: Do you have a “worst first date” story?

BR: I was taken to see a movie where the guy talked to me the entire time. I don't even think I know what the movie was about. that's one of my biggest pet peeves.

OTC: What is the worst thing about dating?

BR: Probably over thinking and jealousy.

OTC: Do you have any cringe-worthy stories of a guy’s failed attempt to pick you up?

BR: I've had a few cheesy pick up lines. I can't stand pick up lines

OTC: Where’s the best place for a guy to try and pick you up?

BR: Probably the beach or through Instagram. I meet a lot of new people through social media as lame as that sounds but it's how you get to know different people.

OTC: Where’s the worst?

BR: The mall. I feel like guys intentionally go to the mall to pick up girls.

OTC: Where can people find you?
